Differences between SEO and SEM

Today i am going to share a common question's answer which is in every beginner's mind who started to learn SEO and SEM. The question is what are the main differences between SEO & SEM.
First of all you must know what is SEO
(Search Engine Optimization) and what is SEM (Search Engine Marketing). SEO is the process of getting traffic from the “free,”
“organic,” “editorial” or “natural” listings on search engines. SEO is
the first thing which you do on your website and after that SEM is done.
SEO is optimizing the website to achieve
good rankings in the SERP while SEM goes beyond SEO. It involves other methods
as well which can get you more search engine visitors like PPC advertising.
SEO Starts with keyword research, selecting
keywords which you want to show in results on search engines such as
google,yahoo,bing. Now a days in SEO quality matters not the quantity, so
quality content is made and published on your site with all the keywords which
you have selected on your website's various pages.
